RealConnect–4B is a powerful, managed high performance G.SHDSL modem that integrates isolated LANs in a campus like
environment, using commonly available telephone cables. RealConnect-4B delivers configurable line rates up to 4.6 MB
(symmetrical) over a distance of 5 Km. Its incredible speed (64Kbps to 4.6Mbps) enables service providers to adjust the traffic. A complex ASIC powered system uses G.991.2 G.SHDSL technology to provide 4.6 Mbps full duplex data rate. The embedded SNMP management interface of the RealConnect-4B, facilitates network administrators to complete a managed network deployment in a very short period. RealConnect–4B is used in pair to bridge the geographically separated LAN segments. RealConnect-4B automatically creates bridge between both LANs; it learns the MAC addresses on both side, and filters the traffic thereby enhancing security and bandwidth.
